About Me

I am an English language educator with extensive experience in teaching and a growing interest in research and teacher training. Over the years, I have focused on helping students reach their language learning goals through student-centred teaching methods. I have taught a variety of language courses and held leadership roles, including department head, assistant school director, and coordinator for professional development and curriculum. These roles have given me a strong foundation in academic administration and program development.

Alongside my teaching, I am deeply committed to teacher training. I hold a Train the Trainer certificate and am a certified Artificial Intelligence in Language Teaching trainer. I regularly give trainings on student engagement, technology integration, and the use of AI in language education. I also designed and implemented online professional developments program.

My doctoral research at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University focused on the impact of online professional development programs on teacher practices and student engagement. Currently, I am exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance both teaching and professional development. While teaching remains my core passion, I am dedicated to growing in the field of educational research and teacher education, always aiming to improve the quality of language learning and instruction.

I am pleased to share my latest research article recently published in the Journal of Research on Technology in Education : "A year of generative AI in English language teaching and learning - A case study" Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are becoming increasingly prevalent in various fields, including foreign language education. Understanding foreign language students’ and teachers’ perceptions, experiences, ideas, and suggestions is crucial for effectively integrating these tools into language learning. This case study examines the perceptions of 14 English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instructors and 13 students regarding the integration of ChatGPT in a foreign language school over one year.
